palo alto farmer's market

saturday mornings are the best! not only is it the morning that i get to sleep in, but it is also the morning of the downtown palo alto farmer's market! i try to go to the market at least a couple times a month, and i almost always get a warm crepe with lemon, sugar, and whipped cream and a creamy horchata for breakfast. 

there are two main farmer's markets in palo alto. one is the saturday market in downtown palo alto and the other is the sunday market on california avenue. i like going to the saturday market because it's much smaller and i've gotten to know some of the vendors.

some of my favorite stands at the farmer's market are noteable bites (which sells vegan treats), gourmet crepes (obviously), the flower stand, and the karin johnson stand (which sells baked goods). can you tell that i like sweet stuff? i also love sampling the fruits at all the fruit stands. peaches and blueberries are my favorite.

when i was younger, i liked going to the farmer's market because of the free samples, but now i go there for both the free samples, the great community, and the fresh food!
