mommy's banana birthday cake

I made a banana cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting for my mom’s birthday! I’ve made this cake before, and I remember it being super delicious and packed with lots of banana. This one came out really well too! The banana cake was super light and fluffy, and it paired well with the rich chocolate frosting.

I added a bit too much salt to the frosting, but my sister came up with the genius idea of presenting it as chocolate sea salt cream cheese frosting. Good idea…makes it sound fancier too. But next time, I would cut down on the salt.

It was nice celebrating my mom’s birthday with the whole family. Even though we’re meeting in unideal circumstances, it was great being together and sharing a good slice of banana cake!
